I don’t know what it is about Key West restaurants but they know how to do brunch. Which is good because it is the most important meal of the day. Especially if you have spent the nigh before on Duval Street.
If you’re looking for good brunch options, you’re in luck because I’ve put together a list of Key West’s best brunch spots. Get ready for some great food in Key West!
Blue Heaven
I think that Blue Heaven is the most recommended breakfast spot in Key West. It was recommended to us and on our list to try for years before we were finally able to try it. The ever-iconic Blue Heaven is located in historic Bahama Village.
You’ll want to get to Blue Heaven early. The reason it took us so long to try it is because we got there late and there was always a long line so we always ended up going somewhere else.
And even though this is all about breakfast, Blue Heaven carries the reputation of having the best key lime pie in Key West.
What to order: Lobster Benedict
Location: 729 Thomas Street

Harpoon Harry’s
I love Harpoon Harry’s! It is a cash-only diner and they serve hearty servings of breakfast all day (until 9pm!) I love their key lime french toast, which comes with a literal piece of pie between the french toast slices. It is obviously pretty sweet, but it isn’t overly sweet like you might think.
It is a cozy restaurant with decorations are full of nostalgia. From the decorations to the service to the food, it’s all wonderful. I love this place and you will, too. Just get there early because they don’t have a ton of seating.
What to order: Key lime french toast
Location: 832 Caroline Street (near the Historic Seaport)
Hot Tin Roof
Hot Tin Roof is a more upscale option for an amazing brunch. Their Sunday brunch is bottomless brunch with small plates (basically a tapas menu) and cocktails (hello, bottomless mimosas). You will want to book in advance. If you are lucky, you’ll get an outdoor table with an ocean view.
What to Order: Bloody Mary
Location: 0 Duval Street (Near Mallory Square)
Breakfast Club, Too
Something unique about Breakfast Club, Too, is that they actually serve lunch all day! So if you are not a breakfast person, you’ll love this option.
Their biscuits are very good but I always get the pancake charcuterie board. It comes with 14 mini pancakes and all the toppings. There is plenty of toppings including fruit, syrup, whipped cream, nutella, and more. It’s a dream! This is why it’s our son’s favorite place for breakfast. Can you blame him?!
What to order: Pancake charcuterie board
Location: 610 Greene Street

Bagatelle
Bagatelle is in a house that was built in 1884 with a wraparound balcony. The balcony makes for a perfect spot to people watch (especially since Bagatelle is on Duval). It’s more sophisticated by Key West standards.
What to Order: Southern Eggs Benedict (cornbread, pulled pork, and poached eggs) and a Bloody Mary
Location: 115 Duval St.
Banana Cafe
Banana Cafe is a French Bistro right on Duval. The inside is cute but if you’re lucky (and it’s not too hot), you’ll get a spot on the roof overlooking Duval. It’s an ideal spot for people watching! They are well known for their crepes and coffee.
What to order: Key lime crepe and coffee
Location: 1215 Duval Street

Ana’s Cafe
Ana’s Cafe serves some of the best Cuban food around, including for their breakfast sandwiches. This is also a good budget-friendly option with large portion sizes. You can easily grab food to go or sit and eat it there.
What to order: Breakfast sandwich and Cuban coffee (I always opt for cafe con leche)
Location: 1330 Simonton St or 531 Green Street
Old Town Bakery
One of the best options to take food to go. They have tons of bakery options and their coffee is incredible, too. They are located in a cute, cozy building that looks exactly like an old town bakery.
What to order: Pastries and your coffee of choice
Location: 930 Eaton St

Sarabeth’s
Sarabeth’s Key West is very popular and always has a long line. Sarabeth’s is in a historic home and also has outdoor dining. Their brunch menu has amazing food with rotating specials. You’ll be able to get all of your staples with unique twists. It’s a bit more upscale for Key West standards.
What to order: Lemon ricotta pancakes or eggs Benedict
Location: 530 Simonton Street
Glazed Donuts and Red Buoy Coffee
Glazed Donuts are the best donuts around. They have tons of unique flavors including key lime (of course), chocolate lovers, salted caramel cake, orange creamsicle, and much more. Of course, they have traditional options like glazed as well. It’s also a perfect place to grab coffee. Red Buoy is one of the best places to grab coffee in Key West.
What to order: Key lime donut and coffee of your choice

Mangoes
For good food and good entertainment, you want to go to Mangoes. Mangoes is a unique brunch spot because they have Drag Queen performers (once per month on a Sunday), live music, and bottomless mimosas. I also love that they have brunch appetizers on top of their delicious breakfast menu. I think more places need breakfast appetizers!
The Drag Queen brunches are from 12:30-2:30 and you’ll want to purchase tickets ahead of time.
What to order: Deviled eggs (as an appetizer), Huevos ranchero skillet
Location: 700 Duval Street
Latitudes
To get to Latitudes, you do need to take the shuttle to Sunset Key. It’s a short, easy ride but you do have to have reservations to get there and it is not uncommon for them to fill up 2 months in advance. If you’re lucky, you’ll get a table right next to the water – the views here are absolutely incredible. This is great for a special occasion, it is not a budget friendly restaurant (which I’m sure you gathered from the whole boat shuttle part).
What to order: Shrimp and grits or key lime french toast
Location: You’ll take the free boat ride/shuttle from 245 Front Street
La Grignote
La Grignote is a predominantly French cafe with a little something for everyone. You can sit down in the cafe for a sit down meal or they have tons of options for pastries to go.
What to order: Croque madame for the cafe, a pastry to go, and a mimosa if you’re waiting for your seat to be ready
Location: 1211 Duval Street
Pepe’s
Pepe’s is a Key West staple that has been open since 1909. It is actually the oldest eatery in Key West! It’s a local favorite and visitors return to eat here over and over as well.
They serve every breakfast staple you could expect with reasonable prices. There are also specials almost every day.
What to order: Build your own omelet and a mimosa
Location: 806 Caroline Street

La Crêperie French Café
For a delicious crepe, this is your spot. La Crêperie French Café is a French restaurant most famous for their crepes. But they also serve options like galettes, quiche, omelettes and paninis. Their atmosphere is cozy, they’re located in an old house with a cute porch.
What to order: They are famous for their red velvet crepe! It is one of my favorites but just be aware that it’s very sweet.
Location: 300 Petronia St
Keys Coffee Co
Keys Coffee Co is a coffee shop but they also serve amazing food. It always tastes fresh and keeps me full throughout the day. They serve pretty much every kind of coffee you could ask for, including Cuban coffee, and have fresh-squeezed orange juice as well.
What to order: Burrito and a coconut breve (latte with cream, sugar, and homemade coconut milk)
Location: 505 Southard Street

The Koffie House
The Koffie House is a great breakfast spot if you want to eat healthy. They have a vegan/vegetarian friendly menu, smoothies, juices, baked goods, and amazing coffee. Their space is amazing, too. It is located in a historic building and they have bright, eclectic decorations.
What to order: A pastry and your coffee of choice
Location: 602 Greene Street

Ram’s Head Southernmost
Their breakfast menu isn’t as big as some of the other places on this list, but it’s one of the best places in Key West for a Bloody Mary. They even have a Bloody Mary bar where you can make your own. Ram’s Head is also a great spot for families with games like bags/cornhole.
What to order: Bloody Mary
Location: 804 Whitehead St.
Moondog Cafe
Moondog Cafe is a really cute cafe located in an old cottage. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. They have everything – french toast, omelettes, Benedicts, and every other breakfast staple you could think of. And everything is delicious. They are also a bakery so there is a wide range of pastries as well.
What to order: Blackened shrimp Benedict
Location: 823 Whitehead Street
