When you think of Key West, the first things that probably come to mind are its stunning sunsets, vibrant nightlife, and endless blue ocean views.
And there’s something special in Key West for But for coffee lovers, too. Because there are plenty of Key West coffee shops for you to get your caffeine fix.
Whether you’re a connoisseur searching for the perfect espresso or a casual sipper craving a laid-back latte, Key West offers an array of coffee spots that cater to every taste and mood.
Exploring new coffee shops is one of my favorite things to do when I’m visiting a new place. And coffee in Key West is a must to fuel up for your busy day or to nurse your hangover.
Today we’re going to break down my favorite places for great coffee in Key West.

Cuban Coffee Queen
Cuban Coffee Queen is probably the most recommended spot to grab coffee in Key West. And they are definitely one of the best places to grab a Cuban coffee.
If you get an iced coffee, it will come with coffee ice cubes so your coffee won’t get watered down as it melts. My drink of choice is a café con leche. Even though their building is small (it kind of reminds me of a food truck), it’s hard to miss because of their famous Welcome to Key West sign painted on the side of their building. We love grabbing coffee here then wandering around the historic seaport.
Original location at the Historic Seaport: 284 Margaret Street

I recommend visiting the location at the Historic Seaport, but they also have two other locations. They also deliver and their delivery scooters are fun to see zipping around town.
Other locations: 291 Front Street #6 and 5 Key Lime Square

Sandy’s Cafe
Sandy’s Cafe is also a good stop for cuban coffee. The cafe opens at 5 am so it’s a great stop if you’re up extra early. They also deliver if that’s more convenient for you. Sandy’s Cafe is connected to a laundromat and only has outdoor barstools for seating, so most people take their coffee to go.
They are known for their bucci, which is a Cuban espresso shot and sugar. Their Colada is also popular, which is 3-6 shots of Cuban espresso.
They serve Cuban sandwiches made on Cuban bread so if you’re hungry, definitely grab one but they also serve tacos if that’s more your style.
Location: 1026 White Street

Keys Coffee
Keys Coffee has every coffee option you could want, including Cuban coffee. My go to order here is the iced coconut breve. They also serve great sandwiches and some other food items as well. You can take it to go (perfect for bringing it out on the water) or eat it in the coffee shop.
Location: 505 Southard Street

Funky Rooster Coffee House and Wine Bar
Funky Rooster is in a quintessential Conch-style house. It’s a cozy, traditional coffee shop (especially on a rainy day in Key West). They have seating inside and on their covered front porch. It’s decorated inside with art from local artists, which you can purchase. If you are hungry, they have some light bites like pastries and quiche.
Location: 713 Caroline Street
Old Town Bakery
Old Town Bakery is one of the most charming coffee shops. It really does make me nostalgic for an old bakery. They have a bakery case full of pastries and every kind of coffee you could want. If you want to grab a quick lunch, they have made to order sandwiches as well.
Location: 930 Eaton Street

Red Buoy Coffee (inside Glazed Donuts)
Red Buoy Coffee is located inside Glazed Donuts. The donuts are well known as the best donuts in Key West – they are sooo good and I highly recommend grabbing one while you are there. They have all of your go-to coffee options with plenty of syrup options. The coffee is roasted on site (you can buy their beans at Faustos, a local grocery store in Key West) and their syrups are made in house.
They are not open on Tuesdays.
Location: 420 Eaton St

Five Brothers
Five Brothers is loved by locals. It has been around for over 40 years, so you know it’s good. It’s dated with limited seating which makes it feel so authentic to me. It’s in a little grocery store. They specialize in Cuban coffee and they also have incredible food. They’re also open for lunch if you want a great sandwich shop. I highly recommend grabbing a Cuban sandwich or empanada if you happen to be there around lunchtime.
Location: 930 Southard Street
Koffie House
The vibes at Koffie House are so vibrant and quirky! I have never seen a coffee shop quite like this one – they put thought into decorating every inch of this coffee shop which creates the best atmosphere.
But probably more importantly, they specialize in natural and healthy products. It can be so nice to have healthy options on vacation (and sometimes healthy options can be hard to find on vacation). You can also get a healthy breakfast, smoothie, or snack here in addition to your coffee.
Location: 602 Green Street

Best Coffee in Town
Best Coffee in Town is a local favorite. This coffee shop is a little hole in the wall and is actually located inside a laundromat with a walk-up window. That’s something you don’t see every day, which is how you really know it’s good. It’s off the beaten path just a bit but worth it!
Location: 1222 White Street
Ana’s Cuban Cafe and Southernmost Grocery
Also known as the Conch and the Cuban. This is a fantastic place for to go breakfast and authentic Cuban coffee. They have a cute walk up window for ordering as well as covered patio seating. I get my go-to cafe con leche here and it’s great.
Location: 1330 Simonton Street – There is also a second location at 531 Green Street
Banana Cafe
Banana Cafe is more of a sit down restaurant but being a French cafe, you can get some amazing coffee. If you are lucky, you can get a spot upstairs on the roof overlooking Duval Street, which is a perfect place for people watching. It’s a cozy, comfy, great spot to start your day with breakfast and a cup of coffee. They also have the most incredible key lime pie crepes.
Location: 1215 Duval Street

Baby’s Coffee
Baby’s Coffee originally had a coffee shop on Duval Street. They were one of the first coffee shops around and became so popular they outgrew their space. They are now located just over 10 miles from Key West. Locals will go out of their way to grab a cup of Baby’s Coffee and visitors love stopping here on their way into Key West from Key Largo or the mainland. This is my husband’s favorite coffee shop and it’s a must stop whenever we make a Florida Keys road trip.
Location: 3180 US-1 MM 15 in Key West
Morning Joint (Cudjoe)
This is just a bonus coffee shop because Cudjoe Key is about a half an hour from Key West. But Cudjoe Key is kind of off on its own and I feel this coffee shop needs to be mentioned somewhere.
Morning Joint is a really cute coffee shop. They have unique coffee combinations – I go the Cudjoe’s Gone Coconuts which is sweet coconut water, espresso, and ice. They also have food like pastries, bowls, and breakfast sandwiches. But perhaps my favorite part is that they have a really nice outdoor area, it’s a really cozy place and it was perfect for our toddler to stretch his legs on our Florida Keys road trip. Bonus: they are dog friendly!
Location: 22864 Overseas Hwy in Cudjoe Key

Whether you’re a total coffee enthusiast or just getting coffee as a hangover helper after a late night, you won’t run out of good places to try coffee in Key West. Hopefully these coffee shops lead you to the right direction in finding a great cup of coffee!
