When you’re considering where to stay in Key West, you might be wondering where to find the best pool. A nice pool is a great way to spend time on your vacation. So it’s not surprising that a good pool is a must!

I’m going to be honest, you won’t find large, infinity pools in Key West like you would in the Caribbean or in Mexico. Most Key West hotels were built before pools like that became popular.

But there are tons of Key West hotels with amazing pools!

Havana Cabana

First is none other than Havana Cabana. It’s the largest pool in Key West and has been recently renovated. The pool is surrounded by gorgeous landscaping, hammocks, loungers, and private cabanas.

There is a pool bar on site for delicious signature drinks and the Floridita food truck with Cuban-inspired food.

Havana Cabana is an adult-only hotel designed to feel almost like you are in Cuba. It’s complete with mid-century cars in the front of the resort, colorful murals, and the Cuban food truck.

One downside is that it is not walking distance to Old Town.

Oceans Edge Resort and Marina Key West

Oceans Edge Resort is technically in Stock Island, which is just a few minutes from Key West. They do have an hourly shuttle that will take you to the heart of Key West.

There are six temperature-controlled pools at Oceans Edge, open 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. The pools aren’t particularly large but are placed throughout the buildings of the resort. You’re never far away from the pool and they are in between the hotel building and the water (see the picture below).

The Marker Key West Harbor Resort

There are 3 pools at The Marker Resort including one that is adults only. There is also a poolside bar if you want a cocktail (you need at least one key lime colada in Key West!) and there’s often live music or a DJ.

As an added bonus, the Marker has a great location just steps from Duval Street and the Historic Seaport.

Casa Marina Key West, Curio Collection by Hilton

Casa Marina is one of the luxury accommodations in Key West and is known as one of the best hotels in Key West.

It boasts two large, beautiful pools. One of the pools is family friendly while one is adults only, so no matter who you are traveling with, you will ind a pool to fit your needs. Both pools have gorgeous views of the water.

The resort is within walking distance to Old Town. It’s a beautiful hotel that’s thoughtfully designed with lush landscaping. Its location is on the south end of the island, close to the southernmost point.

As a bonus, Casa Marina has the largest private beach in Key West. For more details, you can read my full review of Casa Marina.

Ocean Key Resort & Spa

In full disclosure, the pool at Ocean Key Resort & Spa is not particularly large, but it is nice and located at a more upscale resort. The pool also overlooks the water and sunset views that people come to Mallory Square to see. This makes it a perfect place to watch the sunset without having to fight the crowds.

This is a prime location, too. It’s right at the end of Duval Street with just a short walk to some of the best restaurants, bars, and local activities. The Liquid Lounge Bar is right by the pool and is only available to resort guests.

Southernmost Beach Resort and Guesthouses

Southernmost Beach Resort has three pools. One is a quiet/relaxation pool an there is also a family friendly option with music and activities in the afternoon.

The location of this resort is nice as well. It’s just south of the action of Duval Street, so you can walk to your favorite bar or restaurant but it’s tucked away for a quieter, more peaceful stay.

Parrot Key Hotel & Villas

The pools at Parrot Key Hotel & Villas have a relaxed atmosphere amongst one of the most beautiful settings. The pools are surrounded by five acres of tropical gardens, lush palms, and pathways. It’s not waterfront like some of the other pools but it’s hard to find a more tranquil location than this.

There are four pools:

Grove Pool: The largest and liveliest pool at Parrot Key is the Grove Pool, named for its proximity to the Grove Kitchen and Bar.

Gallery Pool: Has the most artwork of all the pools (hence the name), with service available from the Grove Kitchen & Bar, an outdoor restroom and plenty of lounge space.

Oasis Pool: Surrounded by a lot of foliage but not too far for full service available from the Grove Kitchen & Bar.

Sanctuary Pool: The adult only pool, Sanctuary is for people 18 years and older. Full food and beverage service is available from the Grove Kitchen & Bar.

Bonus: Dante’s

Dante’s is not a resort, but it is a huge outdoor swimming pool complete with a waterfall, tiki bars, and a full kitchen. This spot can be more laid back during the week but turns into a party on the weekend. Also, it’s a heated pool so if you’re there in cooler weather, you can still enjoy it!

It’s a great spot to grab a drink, enjoy the pool, and make new friends. There’s also a good happy hour and they usually have live entertainment.
